Service CU Impact Foundation Announces Record-Setting $520,000 Raised at 6th Annual Golf Charity Classic
PORTSMOUTH, NH (January 8, 2026) – The Service CU Impact Foundation is proud to announce that the 6th Annual Service CU Impact Foundation Golf Charity Classic, presented by SRM, raised $520,000, setting a new tournament record.
Proceeds from the event, held at Wentworth by the Sea Country Club in Rye, will benefit more than 16 nonprofit organizations serving veterans and first responders. This year’s beneficiaries include:

- Homes for Our Troops
- Liberty House
- America’s VetDogs – The Veteran’s K-9 Corps., Inc.
- American Red Cross, Northern New England Region
- Hero Pups, Inc.
- Harbor Care
- Homeland Heroes Foundation
- Clear Path for Veterans New England
- UpReach Therapeutic Equestrian Center
- Run for the Troops
- Twin Rivers Food Pantry
- Roof-A-Vet
- High Horses Center for Equine-Assisted Services
- Colorful Kidz Inc.
- Monadnock Peer Support
In addition, the Service CU Impact Foundation funded a life-changing surprise for a local veteran. A highlight of the event was the presentation of a brand-new iBOT® Personal Mobility Device to U.S. Air Force veteran Melinda Simms of Belmont, New Hampshire. Living with spinal stenosis with cord demyelination, she shared that while the condition has significantly impacted her mobility, it has also “strengthened my resolve to live independently and continue serving my community through advocacy work.”
Director of the Service CU Impact Foundation, Sarah Kuhl, remarked at the tournament’s success heading into its seventh year.
“This event continues to grow because our supporters believe deeply in the missions of these organizations and the heroes they serve,” said Kuhl. “Reaching a new fundraising record is a powerful reflection of what’s possible when our community comes together with a shared commitment to veterans and first responders.”
The 7th Annual Golf Charity Classic, presented by SRM, is scheduled for Tuesday, August 25, 2026 and will once again be held at the picturesque Wentworth by the Sea Country Club.
