Meet the Board

The Service CU Impact Foundation’s Board of Directors are dedicated to creating a community where all members have the opportunity to thrive and reach their full potential.

David Araujo, President/Chair

David was named President and CEO in December 2018. He spent time in banking and as a regional finance manager before joining Digital Federal Credit Union (DCU), where he fulfilled multiple senior leadership roles, and led the development of a digital transformation strategy as well as establishing its FinTech Innovation Center. In his current position, David is responsible for leading the strategic vision for the credit union and its new direction in social responsibility. He has a passion for building and sustaining organizational culture focused on delivering an outstanding member experience. David is a US Marine Corps Veteran and also served on the Presidential Honor Guard/Infantryman.


Tyler Pihl, Treasurer

Tyler joined Service Credit Union in 2013 as an internal auditor and currently serves as the VP of Internal audit. Prior to joining the credit union he was in public accounting and has a CPA license. Tyler oversees all aspects of internal audit, risk advisory and the credit union’s Enterprise Risk Management Program.


Tyler Kuhn, Vice President/Secretary

Tyler joined Service Credit Union as VP-Marketing and Digital Strategy in December 2022. In this role, he oversees marketing, communications, financial literacy and digital experience. Prior to joining Service Credit Union, Tyler led marketing and digital experience at Dover Federal Credit Union. He is passionate about the credit union philosophy of serving the underserved in their local communities.


Michael Dvorak, Board Member

Michael has more than 30 years of banking experience, and is currently head of Accounting and Finance, Legal, Regulatory Compliance, and Real Estate at Service Federal Credit Union.  Prior to Service, Michael was executive vice president, CFO and COO of Wellesley Bank from 2016 to 2020.  Michael recently left Wellesley after successful growth and a sale to Cambridge Trust.  His previous experience includes six years as senior vice president of finance at State Street Corporation and 15 years at Keycorp, where he was the CFO of both the Community Bank and the Consumer Bank.  He started his career at the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland.
Michael has a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Miami University and an MBA of banking and finance from the Weatherhead School of Management, Case Western Reserve University.


May Hatem, Board Member

May oversees the Human Resources and Training areas of the credit union which involves employee development and retention across all levels of the organization. She brings 24 years of experience to this role from the healthcare industry. May’s extensive expertise extends to all aspects of Human Resources management to include employee relations, unemployment, legal compliance, management training and compensation and benefits.
