Service CU Impact Foundation Opens Scholarship Applications February 1
The Service CU Impact Foundation announced today that applications for its annual scholarship program will open on February 1st, marking the fifth year of the Foundation’s commitment to supporting students and lifelong learners through higher education.
Since launching the program in 2021, the Service CU Impact Foundation has awarded more than $400,000 in scholarships, helping more than 100 students pursue their educational goals. This year, the Foundation will award more than $100,000, with individual awards available in $2,500 and $5,000 denominations.
The scholarship program is open to high school students, college students, and adult learners, reflecting the Foundation’s belief that education is a lifelong journey. Applications open online at servicecuimpactfoundation.org on February 1st through April 30th, 2026.
“Our scholarship program is one of the most meaningful ways we invest in the future of our communities,” said Sarah Kuhl, Foundation Director. “Year after year, we see firsthand how financial support can remove barriers, open doors, and empower students to focus on learning, growth, and giving back.”
Past recipients frequently cite the scholarships as life-changing support. As 2025 scholarship recipient Hannah Cormier shared, “As a first-generation law student, this scholarship has aided in helping mitigate the financial burdens associated with becoming a Juris Doctor and allowed me to further pursue my passion for advocacy within law.”
Sienna Montenegro reflected on how receiving a 2025 award sharpened her academic focus at Georgetown University and deepened her commitment to community involvement.
“As a first-generation college student, this generous award will enable me to focus on my studies while serving my community without added financial stress.”
Interested students are encouraged to review eligibility requirements, which include being a Service Credit Union member or a dependent of a member, and submit their completed applications by April 30, 2026. Recipients will be announced later this year.
